How to choose an AI UGC ad generator: a 10-point checklist
Ten questions that separate an AI UGC video ad tool you can run campaigns on from a demo: input, scripts, presenters, languages, pricing and policy.
Published October 8, 2026 · 3 min read
Every AI UGC ad generator has a good-looking sample reel. What decides whether you can actually run campaigns on one is everything around the render: how it understands your product, how much control you have over the words, what happens when a render fails, and whether the output is safe to put in front of a platform reviewer. These ten questions cover that ground.
The checklist
- Input: can it start from your real product page, an app store listing, or a written description, and show you the brief it extracted?
- Script control: can you edit every hook and line, regenerate one script, and approve before anything renders?
- Angles: does it write distinct angles such as problem–solution, testimonial-style, unboxing and objection handling, or one script reworded?
- Presenters: are they synthetic, cleared for advertising use, and diverse enough for your audiences? Is impersonating real people forbidden?
- Lip-sync and voice: watch a full 30-second ad at phone size, with sound on. Mouth, voice and captions should agree on every word.
- Languages: are scripts written natively in each language, with matching voices and correctly shaped captions, including Arabic right to left?
- Formats: does one ad export as 9:16, 1:1 and 4:5 with burned-in captions, without re-paying for each ratio?
- Claims screening: does it flag medical, financial and weight-loss claims before spending credits?
- Pricing: what does one finished second cost? Are failed renders refunded, and do unused credits expire?
- Ownership and exit: do you own the renders, and can you export or delete everything at any time?
How to run a fair trial
Use the same product page and the same brief in every tool you compare. Generate three angles, render one 30-second ad each, and score them on the hook in the first two seconds, the accuracy of the product facts, lip-sync at phone size, and how long it took from link to MP4. The cheapest tool per second is not the cheapest per usable ad.
Red flags
- Presenters described as “real creators” or testimonials you cannot verify.
- No way to see or edit the script before you pay for the render.
- Credits consumed by renders that failed.
- Captions added as a separate file instead of burned in, which disappear on most placements.
- Terms that give the vendor rights to reuse your product content or renders.
How AdFace answers the checklist
AdFace starts from a product URL, app listing, written brief or uploaded offer files and shows an editable brief. Review and approve scripts before rendering with synthetic presenters. Choose a 9:16, 1:1 or 4:5 campaign format, with optional captions, in English, French or Arabic. Scripts are screened for medical, financial and weight-loss claims before generation. Credits are held at the start and released if a render fails. Plans start at $39/month for 20 credits; duration, style, model and resolution determine how much you can render. Eligible new accounts receive two trial credits without a card.
Questions this answers
- What is the best AI UGC ad generator?
- The best one is the tool that scores well on this checklist for your product, languages and budget. Run the same brief through two or three tools and compare usable ads per dollar, not the sample reels.
- How much should an AI UGC ad cost?
- Compare the price of your actual batch, including duration, ad style, model, resolution and retries. AdFace starts at $39/month for 20 credits and shows a credit estimate before rendering; a 30-second ad has no single universal credit price.
- Is there a free AI UGC ad generator?
- AdFace offers eligible new accounts two trial credits without a card. Trial exports carry a watermark. The styles and durations you can render depend on the selected model and the batch estimate; this is a limited trial, not an unlimited free plan.
