AI UGC video ads for Shopify and e-commerce stores

How an online store turns product pages into UGC-style video ads with AI: ad styles for physical products, what to feed the tool, what to test first.

For a store, the bottleneck in paid social is rarely the media budget. It is having enough new creatives to test every week without shipping samples to creators and waiting for footage. An AI UGC ad generator works from the product page you already have, so a catalogue of products becomes a catalogue of ads.

What to give the tool

Paste the public URL of a product page, from Shopify or any other platform. The tool reads the title, price, images and description and drafts a brief: who the product is for, what it does and what the page promises. Edit that brief before you write a single script. If the page is thin, add the two or three facts customers ask about most, such as size, ingredients or delivery time.

Ad styles that suit physical products

  • Talking to camera: a presenter speaks the script with the product photo called out on screen. The cheapest and fastest to test.
  • Wearing, holding or demonstrating: the presenter is filmed with the product itself, from your product photos. Best for apparel, beauty, gadgets and anything with a visible result.
  • Hands only: a faceless shot of hands using the product, narrated. Useful when a face would distract or for unboxing.
  • Photo montage: your product photos with motion and a voiceover, for catalogue-scale variations.

A first test that teaches you something

  1. Pick one hero product with steady sales, not a new launch: you want to learn about the ads, not the product.
  2. Write three angles, for example problem–solution, unboxing and objection handling.
  3. Render each with two presenters at 15 or 30 seconds, in 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts.
  4. Run them at equal, low budgets and compare hook rate and cost per purchase, not likes.
  5. Keep the winning angle, write five new hooks for it, and repeat.

Claims and labelling

A synthetic presenter must never be framed as a customer who bought the product, so avoid “I’ve been using this for months” lines unless they are clearly a scenario, not a testimonial. Keep results, savings and health effects to what you can substantiate, and label the ad as AI-generated where the platform asks.

Doing it with AdFace

AdFace reads a publicly accessible product page and drafts an editable brief. It writes scripts across several angles for you to review and approve before rendering. Choose English, French or Arabic and a 9:16, 1:1 or 4:5 campaign format. Generation cost depends on duration, ad style, model and resolution; review the credit estimate before starting. Plans begin at $39/month, and eligible new accounts receive two trial credits without a card.

Questions this answers

Does it need a Shopify app or integration?
No. AdFace reads the public product page by its URL, so it works the same for Shopify, WooCommerce or a custom store. Nothing is installed in your store and nothing is published anywhere.
Can the presenter actually hold my product?
Yes, for physical products. The hold, wear and demonstrate styles film the presenter with the product from your photos; clear photos on a plain background give the best results.
How many products should I start with?
One. Learn which angle and hook work on a product you already understand, then apply the pattern across the catalogue.
